In 1972, when her youngest child was 14, Teresa returned to performing full-time. She also married Bob Thiele, the man who had produced many of her hits for Coral Records in the 1950s. With her reemergence on entertainment scene, Bob thought it was the right time to reactivate the Fan Club.|
Bill Munroe was a long-time fan who had met with Teresa and Bob backstage a number of times over the years. In 1975, during one of those visits, Bob approached Mr. Monroe and asked if he would head the "new" Teresa Brewer Fan Club. Over the years, the names and addresses of some of Teresa's more avid fans had been kept on file. This fan base of a few hundred key fans formed the initial membership of the club when it was revived with Mr. Munroe at the helm.
New fan club membership cards were issued, and the Fan Club was plugged on the back of each of Teresa's many album releases of the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s. In 1996, the Teresa Brewer Center debuted on the Internet to support and augment the work of the Fan Club, and provide an online resource for Teresa's many fans. Today there are several thousand members in the Fan Club.
Bill Munroe has continued to head the successful "new" Teresa Brewer Fan Club for over 30 years!
