Your Proudest "Hits"?
Q: BILL: I’m a relative newcomer to your music, Ms. Brewer. Since I have a few Teresa Brewer CD compilations that contain a number of your hit records, I am very familiar with your songs. I would be hard-put to name my favorite or favorites of all the many songs you have introduced over the years. It would be interesting to know what hits you are most proud of, what you consider your biggest and best hits. Your music will be quite a legacy, to say the least, and all of your many fans thank you for it!
A: TERESA: “My favorite songs? That’s easy. Of all the hits, I can quickly and quite honestly say that ‘Till I Waltz Again with You’ is my very, very favorite. It’s a beautiful song and I never tire singing it. I prefer ballads, really, to the up-tempo ones. I’d choose things such as ‘Till I Waltz Again with You’ and ‘Let Me Go Lover’ and ‘A Tear Fell’ over, say, ‘Ricochet’ or ‘A Sweet Old Fashioned Girl,’ although I am very grateful for those songs. ‘Music! Music! Music!’ would go on the list of favorites since it’s the song that established me as a singer and it has been very good to me over the years. But what do I consider my biggest hits? Hands down they’d be my daughters -- Kathleen, Susan, Megan and Michelle. They’re my legacy, my biggest hits.”
